Mr S Elliott

 Thumbnail 20190420 133301Sam Elliott was educated at Bewdley High School - a comprehensive school in Worcestershire - and achieved three As in English Language and Literature, Mathematics and Geography at A Level. He graduated from University of East Anglia with a first-class honours degree in English Literature with Creative Writing in 2010. In 2011, Sam graduated with an MSt in English Studies from Oxford University. After completing a ski season in Montgenèvre, Sam completed a PGCE at Oxford University in 2013.

Sam has worked at St Birinus School and Didcot Sixth Form for 10 years, teaching GCSE and A Level English, and more recently Key Stage 3 Mathematics. After holding various leadership roles in the English department, including Acting Head of English, Second in English, KS5-coordinator and KS3-coordinator, Sam was appointed as Head of Year 12 in September 2023. Sam has worked as Sixth Form Ethos and Enrichment Co-ordinator since September 2022, overseeing sixth form sport, societies, and student leadership. Sam is a keen tennis player and is the Club Captain and Welfare Officer at Cholsey Tennis Club.

Miss C Hanna
Miss C HannaCharlotte Hanna was educated at a South Oxfordshire comprehensive school. She then graduated from Brighton University in 2008 with a BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science, completing her dissertation in the research of levels of self-esteem and self-efficacy in teenage girls and their motivation to take part in physical activity. Charlotte then returned to the local area to complete her teaching qualification at Reading University. She has been at Didcot Girls' School since 2009, teaching GCSE Psychology and A-Level Physical Education. Charlotte has been a Head of Year in the Sixth Form since 2011 and she holds the posts of Post-18 destinations lead and Deputy Director of Sixth Form. Charlotte is always keen to carry on developing high quality provision within our Sixth Form.
