Destinations 2020
Despite national uncertainty, Didcot Sixth Form students celebrated the most successful year for university entrance in the history of the sixth form.
University
- 107 students achieved a place at university (72% of year group)
- 54 of them were Russell Group universities (51% of all placed)
- 3 of them were Oxbridge universities (3% of all placed)
- 80 of those that achieved a place are going to their first-choice university (75% of all placed)
- 14 of those that achieved a place are going to their second-choice university (13% of all placed)
- 10 students have achieved a place through Clearing (4 of which were better than original offers)
- 1 student has achieved a place through Adjustment
Apprenticeships
- 3 students have confirmed apprenticeship placements (2% of year group)
Gap Year
- 20 students are taking a gap year and then applying to university next year (13% of year group)
- 10 students are taking a gap year whilst searching for apprenticeships (7% of year group)
College
- 6 students are going to college to undertake foundation courses or dance school (4% of year group)
Employment
- 4 students are going into full time employment (3% of year group)
